Blogging Seminar!

Started off with a talkshow style dialogue session, followed by an extremely cheemz 'media law class', a talk on journalism by NUS media prof, a hilarous and tactical talk about overthrowing Malaysia government, lastly a talk about blogging for a cause focusing on environmental issues. I was quite shocked that there was only 3 of us who were students, everyone else was professional bloggers and (ex-)journalists, even from different parts of the world. Everyone seemed to have so much insight and opinions to contribute, even during lunch where people just mingle around. Survived the 8-hours seminar(and continuous eating sessions) on 3-hours of sleep last night, almost died, learned a lot, it was definately worth it. (:
But there's two more months to go. Friends started working. I hate working. Starting to hate slacking. But picky me seem to only consider if its (theatre/arts related), OR ((not dead boring) AND ((friends to work together) OR (commitment not more than a week))) This week issue of 8days has this Guilt-O-Metre ranking. I'm guilty of whatever tops the list. Playing pet society on facebook, (along with Restuarant City etc), watching S-factor on tv (along with even more bo liao reality shows, I actually finished watching a whole season of The Biggest Loser gosh). Finished reading a few books, and watching the Ultimatum. Disappointing after the climax was shown in the opening of the first episode, but zhongtouxi nevertheless. Aaron's in thailand, and Huimin's going there in 2 days. I want to go too! :( love thailand's sweet corn, the ones with multi colours. Told darling to buy one back for me, I wonder will he? heh. Travel! The last family travel vacation was..so long ago I can't even remember. sec 2?? 6 years wow. always been busy with school, then cca, then uni started and I start travelling without parents. Really hoping the Genting trip with school friends do happen. (: I shall end off randomly with a shout out to two of my closest friends:
Had Can2 teh-bing! I miss it, its seriously the best teh-bing around lor, and its only 60cents! hahaha walking up the stairs seeing the familiar block 2 sign, walked past the banglas and up the familiar block 3 stairs..3-2-51's still unoccupied. Our names were removed from the door sign though. Took a walk to Nanyang Supermarket, that and the canteen is really something I took for granted. Everything holds their special meaning now, its affectionate. It was to Can B to wait for Jin next, Can B now represent the short 15mins bubbletea lunch before being late for 202 tutorial..Had green apple smoothie, which brings back memories of a rather funny and fond episode. Can 4 dinner with Jin and it was Biz Law vs Freud hahaha. Finally finished reading the Pandora Box on the bus home, a book I've been reading on and off the whole day. (: Some job training thingie tml, hope I won't regret it.
2. Bought new green earphones! 3. Watched Angels & Demons. Horrorish, with disturbing images. Humour and sarcasm in religion. And somehow astro terms seem to come in, (or I start noticing them) like black holes in StarTrek and anti-matter in Angels&Demons. Overall the show's exciting, plot's a little too linear though. 4. Attended a court hearing for the David Widjaja case at the Subordinate Courts. The place is quite cool! Go in need to scan bags etc with the conveyor belt scanner, and the ceilings are high! Waited for an hour before the hearing started, and when it started it was sloooowwwwwww. Definately not the pro-ness we see in ch8 dramas. 5. Pignic at Marina Barrage! Foodddd! & drinking/eating game to finish up the food. Met a cute little girl who came over to talk to us and talk and talk and talk and talk. I think she's awesome. :D MindsCafe after that, finally got to know what Kranium is about! But I suck at it. >.< Then there was this imagine game which is interestng, very interesting. 6. Went library 3 times in 5 days to borrow books, different types of books. Got a whole lot of movies from Caleb. No need to worry nothing to do already heh. 7. S2J concert at Lunar! Didn't really know who they are before, but they're quite good! took a whole lot of photos and videos, dreading to sort them out. Damn cool cos we were right in front of the stage, first row! and I got to shake hands with both of them hahaha. It was quite entertaining to watch the fans too. Lunar's damn cool cos the club plays chinese music! :D 8. AND AND AND I want to remember, and I know I'm crazy and I wonder why too, and its so unlike me, HAHA. Bursting with adrenline and dying to tell someone, just someone. and then grinning like a fool all the way home. the energy, the style, the touch, the linger. Crazy I know. Its a part of me I don't believe exist. Am I dreaming? haha.

Its Saturday & I'm at home again. When there is nothing to do, the small little disatisfactions and thoughts creep in to bother. More and more. But I'm trying, growing, and doing a better job at that than it could have been possible in the past. Self-fulfilling prophecy, it better not be.
